Numero Uno.
Hello everyone!
I thought I'd take a cue from Joe and Karen and create one of these blogs as well. I dont know how often I'll be able to update, but I'll be sure to update often enough so you'll all know what's going on with us.
It's been HOT out here in Utah the past few weeks. It's even reached over 110 down in St George, which is only about an hour and a half from us. It's been terribly humid, too, which is something we're not used to anymore, so it's been difficult to adjust.
Kenzie started a dance class last week. She's learning the basics of ballet, hip-hop and jazz, and so far she seems to enjoy it. Along with dance, her gymnastics class will resume on Sept 1, and of course, preschool will start back up around that time as well, so she'll be keeping pretty busy this fall! Her 5th birthday is approaching rapidly. I can't believe 5 years has gone by since my baby was born. She's getting so big!
Jim is doing well at his job; he's almost totally in charge of the construction of a subdivision here in town. With this new responsibility comes new stress, of course, but he's handling it well. He seems genuinely happy here for once, which also lowers my stress level considerably!
As for me, I'm still working at Samco, but now I've switched back to doing the graveyard shift. I bargained with my boss, and ended up getting a dollar and a half more an hour out of the deal, so I'm satisfied with that for now. It wont be lasting much longer anyway; next week I'll probably start at the daycare full time. Speaking of which, is doing good so far. We've got 10 full time kids now, so mom needs me to be there all the time. I'm psyched to be able to spend the day with Kenzie, and to be able to be home at night with her and Jim. Not to mention having weekends off, finally!
In two weeks Joe and Karen are bringing Ryan out here and we're all going camping up at Navajo Lake. We're all excited and looking forward to that, and I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures to share!
Right now, though, I need to go. Dance class starts in about 20 minutes, and I have yet to finish getting ready. I hope you all are doing well. We love and miss you all!
